What kinds of devices are compatible with direct USB-C connection to GOOVIS HMDs?

GOOVIS HMDs can connect directly to devices that support video output over USB-C, including smartphones, laptops, tablets, handheld consoles, and certain drone controllers.


Note: Not all devices with a USB-C port support video output. Compatibility may vary by model. Please refer to our Direct Connection Compatibility List to check if your device is supported.

How do I connect my device to the GOOVIS HMDs?

Can GOOVIS HMDs connect device via HDMI Port?

Yes. GOOVIS HMDs can be connected to devices with HDMI output using the GOOVIS HC2.0 Converter (may be sold separately, depending on the bundle you purchased).

Can GOOVIS HMDs convert 2D content into 3D?

No. GOOVIS HMDs support playback of native 3D content but does not offer 2D-to-3D conversion functionality.

How do I find the right IPD setting for my eyes?
  1. Start with the IPD set to its minimum position.

  2. Slowly slide it outward until the screen edges appear sharp and there’s no double image. This means you’ve found the setting that works best for your eyes.


What can I use the USB-C port on top of the HMD for?

The USB-C port on top of the HMD is used to connect peripheral devices such as USB-C headphones, keyboards, mice, and webcams.

Note: This USB-C port cannot be used to charge other devices.


Why is my GOOVIS HMD not displaying anything and the LED keeps blinking after connection?

How can I use headphones when connecting GOOVIS HMD to my device?
  1. 3.5mm wired headphones: Connect to the 3.5mm audio jack on the GOOVIS HMD.

  2. USB-C headphones: Connect to the USB-C port on the HMD, compatible with both wired USB-C headphones and 2.4GHz wireless audio adapters.

  3. Bluetooth Headphones: If your output device supports Bluetooth, pair your Bluetooth headphones directly to that device.
